# Start cleaning
1. Open the project.
2. Select **Open-End Cleaning** from the left sidebar.
3. Select **Start cleaning**.
Metaforms starts processing the mapped responses in batches. Results appear as respondents are judged, so you can begin reviewing completed work while later batches continue.
The batch rail shows the status of each batch. Select **All batches** to review the complete available set, or select a batch to limit the workspace to that batch.
